Grand View Point

Starting near Aspen Glen on the south side of Big Bear Lake, the Pine Knot Trail climbs steadily through oak, pine and wildflower forest, with occasional openings back toward the lake.

The route continues past the Red Ant Canyon area, crosses forest roads and passes Deer Group Camp before joining the approach toward Grand View Point.

At Grand View Point, the hike finishes with broad views over Big Bear Lake, the surrounding San Bernardino high country and the Mount San Gorgonio area.
