Upper Yosemite Fall, Yosemite Point, Oh My Gosh Point and Columbia Rock
Starting near Yosemite Lodge and the Camp Four area, this demanding route climbs the Upper Yosemite Fall Trail through oak woodland and granite switchbacks, quickly rising above Yosemite Valley toward Columbia Rock, where broad views open over the valley floor, Merced River corridor, Half Dome, and surrounding Sierra cliffs.
Beyond Columbia Rock, the trail continues toward Oh My Gosh Point and the exposed upper slopes below Yosemite Falls, where the sound and spray of the waterfall become part of the ascent and the route reveals close perspectives of Upper Yosemite Fall, the Middle Cascades, and the cliff-lined amphitheater above the valley.
The final climb reaches the top of Yosemite Falls near Yosemite Creek, then continues toward Yosemite Point, adding a high overlook with sweeping views back across Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, North Dome, and the surrounding granite skyline before returning by the same scenic mountain trail.
